AN ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF GOESSEL, KANSAS, FROM THE PROVISION OF K.S.A. 1990 SUPP. 12-1222, WHICH REQUIRES THAT ALL MEMBERS OF THE CITY LIBRARY BOARD OF DIRECTORS BE RESIDENTS OF THE CITY.

Section 1. The City of Goessel, Kansas, hereby elects to exempt and exempts itself from and makes inapplicable to it, that portion of K.S.A. 1990 Supp. 12-1222 which requires that all members of the city library board of directors must be residents of the city, said statute not being applied uniformly to all cities. The City of Goessel will permit two members, and only two members, of the board of directors of the Goessel city library to live outside the city limits.

Section 2. The governing body of the City of Goessel, Kansas, does not exempt itself from the remaining provisions of said K.S.A. 1990 Supp. 12-1222.
